North Dakota examples of tax reform benefits

Tax reform has been GREAT for North Dakota!

 
Thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs act brought to you by the Republican majority and President Trump, we are seeing more money in our paycheck. Wages and bonuses are also being delivered by companies of all sizes.
 
Here are some direct examples from the North Dakota business community:

Scheel’s
$1,000 and $500 bonuses; investment in new stores, increased charitable donations

Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. and Otter Tail Power Company
Passing along tax reform savings to customers resulting in lower utility bills each and every month

TrueNorth Steel
Positive business environment has allowed company to “reinvest” in itself and has added 50 new jobs across their 10 locations

Gate City Bank
$1,000 hand-delivered bonus checks to 538 non-management personnel; $500,000 higher charitable giving; $500,000 worth of free home appraisals

AT&T
$1,000 bonuses to 156 North Dakota employees; nationwide, $1 billion increase in capital expenditures

Bank of the West
Base wage increased to $15/hour at their five North Dakota branch locations

Lowe’s
Employees received up to $1,000 bonuses based on length of service, plus expanded benefits and maternity/parental leave and $5,000 adoption assistance at the company’s three North Dakota stores with 300+ employees

Best Buy
With four locations in North Dakota, $1,000 bonuses for full-time employees; $500 bonuses for part-time employees

Taco John’s
All full-time and part-time crew members received a $200 after-tax bonus at the company’s 25 locations in North Dakota

Starbucks Coffee Company
With 13 locations in North Dakota, Starbucks is delivering $500 stock grants for all retail employees, $2,000 stock grants for store managers, and varying plan and support center employee stock grants

Wal-Mart
North Dakota employees at 14 Wal-Mart stores received tax reform bonuses, wage increases, and expanded maternity and parental leave

McDonald’s
With over 25 locations in North Dakota – increased tuition investments will provide educational program access for 400,000 U.S. employees with $2,500 per year (up from $700) for crew working 15 hours a week, $3,000 (up from $1,050) for managers
 
 
As you can see, these tax cuts benefit all North Dakotans and allow business—big and small—to invest their profits back into their employees. There’s no disputing it: The Tax Cuts & Jobs Act has been a great deal for North Dakotans.
